We all have changes in our lives and many changes in my life started in August. I am grateful for the opportunities these changes have given and are still giving me. 2019 was a universal 3 year (which was about playfulness, creativity, expressiveness, being joyful...) and I can say last year certainly was joyful at times; sometimes the joy was stronger than other times and sometimes I did not see it at all. I am ready for the changes the year 2020 brings - or actually I bring to it.
In 2019, I travelled quite a bit throughout the year and especially in September / October. I thought the travel during those noted months would help me "figure out what's next" but it hasn't really done that. I know what I do not want so I suppose that is a great starting point.
In January of 2020 I plan to go to a friend's cabin to write a book. I may not finish it in the month but it will be well on its way by the time I return! I am looking forward to the change in scenery and going somewhere which is completely new to me.
My book is inspired by this blog and when and why it all started. It is about being creative and finding ways to be creative. Right now I wonder if it will not be about simply sketching... or maybe it will. The book is still in its infancy so it will evolve. Maybe it will be about what being creative means to whomever reads the book.
Right now I wish I was on a beach somewhere enjoying sand, surf, sunshine, and maybe a glass of wine. Last year I was in Mexico on December 31 and as far as I am concerned, it is the perfect place to be on New Year's Eve. Don't get me wrong, it is a beautiful day out there today but it certainly is not bikini weather!
My intention is to do a recap of my last decade on the eve (or near the eve) of my birthday in March since that is the beginning of my next year as well as my next decade.
I am looking forward to it - the recap and the years ahead.
Happy New Year to all
