single tulip

Continuing with the tulips...
This time I used my water colour pencils to do this painting (is it a painting?).

This was also a quick drawing then I added water to spread the colour. It actually looks very similar to the tulip I was drawing (clearly I think it is a drawing not a painting).
I used the imperial purple, crimson lake (red), and two shades of green for this piece (grass green and mineral green). The brand of the water colour pencils is Rexel Derwent and it is a set of 12 colours. My pencils are very old so I believe the brand is now just Derwent.

I do not use these pencils very often because I don't really know the best way to use them. I guess that means it is YouTube™ time!
